The Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters organization exists to support historic preservation through education, fundraising, and community collaboration. The organization prioritizes the protection of historic structures, responsible interpretation of local history, and ethical nonprofit practices. Programs are intentionally designed, reviewed for mission alignment, and conducted in ways that reflect professionalism, accountability, and public trust.

Our Haunted History Tours are guided, supervised experiences that combine documented history with carefully structured investigative elements. Each tour operates only with proper authorization and follows site-specific rules and safety requirements established by the host property. Tours emphasize historical context and respectful, measured investigative practices. Sensationalism and unsupervised investigation are intentionally avoided, ensuring that the experience benefits the host site directly through fundraising and public engagement while maintaining the integrity of the location.

Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters produces special events that support preservation, education, and community engagement while maintaining professional and ethical standards. Events are developed in coordination with partner organizations and reviewed to ensure mission alignment, site protection, and guest safety. Each program is designed to elevate historic sites and their stories, not to overshadow them, and reflects the organization’s commitment to accountability and responsible public programming.

Voices of the Comstock — Two historic lodges. Two distinct experiences. Limited access.
Step inside two of the region’s most historic and rarely accessed lodges — the Amity Lodge in
Silver City and the Miners Union Hall in Virginia City.
These buildings once served as gathering places for the Comstock’s early communities. Their walls have witnessed generations of voices, stories, and moments in time — some of
which may still linger today.
For a limited time, Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters presents a guided, hands-on investigation
inside these remarkable spaces. Each location offers a completely different atmosphere, history,
and experience — making this a rare opportunity to explore both.

Adopt-a-Ghost is a preservation, restoration, and stewardship program created by Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
This program supports the long-term care of historic landmarks throughout Nevada’s Comstock region—mills, hotels, schools, tunnels and working spaces that shaped the state’s early history. A “ghost” is symbolic of the people, spaces, and moments in time embedded in these structures. Adopting a ghost does not imply ownership or naming rights—it represents stewardship and shared responsibility.
Suggested adoption: $50
